Requirements
Interest in studying a postgraduate degree in Journalism / Communication.
Applicants must be natives of American countries and / or professionals belonging to newspapers, radio stations or digital platforms.
Be no more than 35 years old at the beginning of each application period, with command of the language of the country where they wish to study.
Be university graduates preferably from a School / University of Communication / Journalism.
Have at least three years of work experience within the profession.
Applicants from the United States and Canada must have documentation from a recognized authority that demonstrates proficiency in the Spanish language, or Portuguese for those going to Brazil.
Latin American applicants must take a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) language test.
All applicants may apply and study at universities accredited by the Latin American Council for Accreditation of Education in Journalism and Communication (CLAEP). These are the CLAEP universities:

Scholars accept to write an essay or work, in any field, on a subject related to press freedom. The work, no less than ten thousand words, must be send by email one month before the conclusion of the scholarship and will be available for IAPA publications.
Scholars agree to return to the country of origin at the end of the academic year, according to the visa regulations in force in each country.
